Black tea contrast training + Teativity offer
This week’s focus is a simple training contrast: leaf size.
You can see the idea here:
→ Big leaves (Assamica type) vs small leaves (Sinensis type)
Teativity uses Yunnan big-leaf material at different altitudes so you can practise comparison inside one family — not random samples from everywhere.
Why this matters next to green vs black
Green tea is unoxidised. Heat is easy to get wrong: too hot pulls bitterness fast and can cover sweetness.
Black tea is oxidised. Think of a cut apple turning brown — the leaf chemistry has already changed. That is why black tea is usually brewed hotter: you are not protecting the same fragile green profile; higher heat helps open aroma that oxidation has already shaped.
Altitude still matters: higher gardens often keep more L-theanine character and a different catechin balance, which you can notice when leaf type is held steady.
Another short reference on leaf and cup behaviour:
This week’s offer (until 26 Oct)
When you order Teativity by 26 October, you also receive one extra small-leaf organic black tea at no charge, so you can run big-leaf vs small-leaf side by side.
